Bayfield School District Board of Director Candidate Forum

Local First is proud to partner with The League of Women Voters of La Plata County to help our community get to know the candidates running for Bayfield’s School District Board of Directors.

Registered voters will have the opportunity to chose between the 4 candidates running for the 2 seats in the Nov 2 election. Both seats are for 4-year terms.

CANDIDATES:

Four candidates are running for the board, including incumbent Rebecca Parnell, who was appointed to fill a vacancy in June after Daniele Hillyer stepped down to take a counseling position at Bayfield High School. The other candidates are Jill Shocklee, Matt Turner and Kira Wennerstrom.
