Understanding the New Livable Wage – A presentation contextualizing the 2022 livable wage estimates for La Plata County and the Region 9 Economic Development District.
Join Region 9 Economic Development District, Information Services, and Local First for a discussion on the updated livable wage estimates for La Plata and surrounding counties. Taking place September 6th at the FLC Center for Innovation, this event will begin at 12:00 pm with a presentation led by Heather Otter and Donna Graves followed by a Q&A. Attendees can expect to learn the definition of the term “livable wage”, gain insight on the data used to estimate our community’s livable wage, and walk away with a better understanding of the implications of providing a livable wage.

About the Presenters:
Heather Otter has a diverse career path from high school teacher to business owner to corporate training manager and now economic development project manager. She enjoys leveraging learning, leadership, and community to get stuff done.
Donna K. Graves is a research consultant specializing in demographic and economic research in the Four Corners region. Donna has worked with economic development groups and private clients on a variety of projects designed to assess economic impacts. Her company, Information Services, Inc. is based in Durango, CO
